IV therapy is a way of getting vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients into the bloodstream quickly. By accessing a vein with a small needle, nutrients can be distributed throughout the body without the need for absorption by the digestive system.  This is a benefit for those who have digestive issues, those who can not tolerate oral supplementation, and those with nutrient deficiencies. Another benefit of IV therapy is that this route of administration can raise blood nutrient concentrations above levels achieved through oral supplementation.  An IV therapy session can take 15 minutes, or it can take 2 hours, depending on the types and amounts of nutrients being administered.

The patient must be evaluated thoroughly before treatment will be considered. This evaluation will include patient history, physical exam, urinalysis, and may include imaging or lab studies such as blood work.
